Forum:The Savethemooses Contest
Here's how it's gonna go down. There is a link to the non-existent article Moose-Robot War of 1820 on my user page. It has been there for well over a year. And it's really starting to bug me that there's not an article for that link yet. So, what should I do? Write the article myself? Certainly not. That's where you all come into play.
Write an article about the Moose-Robot War of 1820 and put it under your userspace. The deadline for entries is March 18th. At that point I will judge them, and the best one will be moved into the main namespace. The winner and runner-up will get special prizes!
Go forth and write, denizens of Uncyclopedia! -- 18:08, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

It should be me considering I am apparently the only one that even remember this contest occurred. --Composure1 18:52, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Winner Will Be Announced
Very soon. I just need to see more people impatiently clamoring for me to announce the winner. 16:11, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT
Thank you to all who participated. Except for Braydie. Fuck you.
There were some really great entries in this contest. It was hard to choose just one winner. So first, some runners-up:
- Third Place goes to Hardwick Fundlebuggy, whose claim that the Moose-Robot War of 1820 never happened was interesting to say the least. The article was well-written. Blah blah blah. Anyway, he didn't win.
- Cool Place goes to Spang for being concise.
- Second Place goes to Composure1. His article was fantastic, going into great detail and really creating a fantastically original article. It was thought-out and interesting, and would definitely work as a mainspace article. Heck, I would even VFH it. Almost a perfect article.
Of course, that leaves...
- First Place, which went to rcmurphy for his article, which referenced my own work, thus combining the awesomeness of me with the awesomeness of stuff about me. Congrats, rc!
And thanks again for participating in my contest. Your bills will be in the mail shortly. -- 00:07, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

- I am...humbled, to say the least. I now know how Toole must have felt when he received his Pulitzer. </English nerd> —rc (t) 02:41, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
As none of you probably noticed, I've been gone from the site for over a month. This is because I couldn't stand the tension of waiting for the winner to be announced, and had myself cryogenically frozen until the victor was revealed. My loyal aide thawed me out as soon as he read the news. So now I'm back (check UnNews for my newest article), and although I didn't win, I am honored to be in 2nd and thank STM for his positive comments. So what's my "special prize" that I will get as the runner up? --Composure1 03:10, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
I think we all know who the real winner here is. For those that don't, it's me. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 03:57, 18 Apr 2007
