Against: 3
  1. Against. As much as I'm for learning about another culture, I don't want to have to do it to get a joke. Too insular and as a result unapproachable. Nominally Humane! 11:30 03 Apr 11:30, April 3, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Against. Per POTR. I feel bad for it, but he has a point. ChiefjusticeDS 21:39, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Don't get me wrong; it's a good article. However, like a lot of good UnNewses, this isn't quite feature-worthy in my opinion. Sorry. --Black Flamingo 01:53, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

This is good and a I laughed, but I think there are a couple things that need to be cleaned up, like the Canadianisms and the sort of "random" details in the middle. Good article though. --ShabiDOO 10:43, March 29, 2012 (UTC)

  • Comment. Of course there are Canadianisms, its a Canadian article dealing with Canadian politics written by a Canadian, what do you expect? Uncle J (talk) 03:08, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
Canadianisms are fine, but if you are featuring an article on the front page, you should really consider making them more accesible to all readers. RCMP? Majority government? Labour minister Lisa Rat (why would 90% of the readers care about the name of a labour minister unless its funny or its referenced in some special way?) Missisauga (why mention the name of an obscure suburb that pearson is in), CSIS (no foreigner would know what that is).
Imagine the article was about an event in Madigascar and I wrote: "Prime Minister Gewejegi has proctored new billing for the law (or was that a fat kings rule by decree) against syndicates, as public rallied against Minister of the Interior Makawaa Intebui, who is known to be loved by all simple minded idiots was protected by the RRT, even though the so called government (or should I say back stabbing free loading capitalist piggies with curly tails) only has a non-concrete mandate in the civil house. Small riots in Aamdana and Rwivi lasted for one minute, while riots in Raatan lasted all night, of course!"
In my huble opinion, your article (which is already very good), will benifit by making it more accessible to all readers, and you'll not have to sacrifice any essential content, just make it more accessible. Anyways, take it as you like. --ShabiDOO 03:36, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
  • Comment. I think its fine how it is, there are a few specific things about Canada but take it as a way to learn something new about a different culture with different values and beliefs 216.118.151.182 16:55, March 31, 2012 (UTC)
