Benson is over here. Upon his infinite banninism, it is suggested that:

1. Remove notice from Template:Vdtop.
2. Remove benson from Forum:Index.
3. Delete Template:Forumheader/BENSON.
4. Delete Forum:BENSON.
5. Delete Category:BENSON if it gets created
6. Delete all posts from this forum and archive them into a Carlow Crab type page.

And just to make my opinion known, I think banning someone for typing in all caps is pretty frivolous and petty. What's next, if someone has an annoying signature file, they get banned? I can think of a lot of uncyc users who would be banned instantly.

I don't use that sig every time I sign, and have made a decision not to use it on user talkpages. If it's considered abusive, I'll mothball it 100%. I really don't use it that much, I'm hoping it's less annoying that way and will perform its purpose better. I think I did a good job on getting the date to be automatic also; it took me awhile to figure that out and it's a good method. Of course to more experienced users this is nothing, but to me it was a little tricky. I described it in the Uncyclopedia:How To Get Started Editing article, so now everyone can have automatic date-stamped sigs. --Hrodulf 02:11, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm with Benson on this one. I don't think it's fair to permanently ban someone who isn't doing vandalism. Unfortunately, fairness doesn't have much to do with the ban process, so I suppose what I have to say on the subject is, for all practical purposes, completely and utterly worthless, as proven definitively by:

Me getting the ban stick unexpectedly waved at me

Flash:Admins apparently sit around debating large scale bans without warning (because they can, naturally).

Since I can't do anything about the simple fact that Admins can ban anyone (or even everyone), at any time, for any reason, or theoretically no reason, and there's nothing anybody can really do about it, I did all I decided it was possible for me to do, update the HowTo guide accordingly To Get Started Editing#If_you_get_banned http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Uncyclopedia:How To Get Started Editing#If_you_get_banned and create the Ban Chapel User:Hrodulf/BanChapel, although that's mainly for my own use, for situations when To Get Started Editing#A_few_words_about_personality_conflicts http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Uncyclopedia:How To Get Started Editing#A_few_words_about_personality_conflicts doesn't cut it. Maybe I should buy some paper bags to breathe into also, since I'm probably on the way to more bannination. As has been noted several times, uncyclopedia is not a democracy. What is noted less often than that is the corollary that users have no readily discernable rights at all. It's important to remember this, otherwise you could be lulled into a false sense of security.

So remember, if you do get banned, check your sig template. It may have annoyed someone.

Yes, its one thing for Famine to constantly joke about permbanning me (I hope Famine's joking...), but to permban someone who is not a vandal is no good. Even ignoring Benson's status as the messiah, he has never been a vandal.
