Silhouettes (song)[edit source]
Let me know what you think of this bit of silliness.
08:37, October 2, 2010 (UTC)Humour: | 7 | The article was funny, in its early stages. The introduction served as an excellent potshot at the actual premise of the song, and it was quite smart of you to figure out the what all silhouettes can do. However, the ending seemed more like a way to quickly wrap up the story, and it wasn't as funny as the beginning. Maybe it was because it ended too quickly. |
Concept: | 8 | For me, this was the strongest point of the article. While the actual song was inspired simply by silhouettes, you did well to include themes of adultery and stalking into it. |
Prose and formatting: | 9 | Not much to say here. You know your English and managed to narrate the article pretty well. The high score is because this is a rather technical area. |
Images: | 9 | Excellent job with the images. They served well as a narrative tool, and the captions were also very funny. My favorite one was where the silhouettes seemed to be in the middle of anal sex. PS- You should keep the 'not safe for work' template. |
Miscellaneous: | 8.3 | |
Final Score: | 41.3 | Overall, this article is a good read, and it's funny. The concept is strong, but I would have liked it to go on a little bit longer. Your potshots at Bob Crewe were also pretty good, as were your references to cheating. However, it isn't exactly outstanding as an article, and could use some more work in order to become a "great" article, from the presently "good" article. I would like to see if you could make a little more fun of Bob Crewe's personality, or maybe extend the part when he's beginning to suspect his wife is cheating on him. These are just some suggestions as to how I think you could improve your article. Good job, man. |
